Things to do
Begin your Kalgoorlie-Boulder holiday by immersing yourself in the city’s gold mining history at the Museum of the Goldfields. Here you can explore historic artefacts and recreated living quarters, along with photos and stories from the gold rush era. Afterwards, head over to the Hannans North Tourist Mine to sit in a giant mining truck and pan for gold.
Keen golfers should visit the Kalgoorlie Golf Course, which boasts an 18-hole course of pristine greens and challenging sand and water traps. Grab a drink at the on-site Waterhole Bar and Bistro after your round. The golf course is next to Karlkurla Bushland Park, one of the best spots for a quiet walk through native Western Australia trees and animals. It’s also got a lookout tower with panoramic countryside views.
