Head to No.1 Royal Crescent to take a peek inside the magnificent buildings and appreciate its beautiful architecture. Visit the on-site museum to see period furniture from the late 18th century.

Literature lovers will enjoy the Jane Austen Centre, which depicts the life of the English novelist and former Bath resident, through her possessions. Take a guided tour with a costumed character to see the Jane waxwork, before heading to the Regency Tearooms for afternoon tea.

For a dose of culture, head to Bath Abbey, a medieval place of worship that boasts a fascinating Gothic interior. Dating back to the 7th century, the abbey is home to a prestigious choir and is one of Britain’s most-visited religious sites.

The city's biggest pull is its Roman Baths. Visit the remains of one of the finest religious spas of the ancient world where the natural hot water flows and the thermal springs rise. Take a tour around the Great Bath and drink the natural spring water.

Getting around

Bristol Airport is just under an hour’s drive west of the city, while London Heathrow is just two hours away. Bath can be explored entirely on foot or you can ride the public buses or hire a taxi.
