The campaign is extraordinary and the bar scene is continuously enthusiastic. You enter into colorful lifts, at this point not so terrible, once you reach your floor you may be welcomed by the scent of rustic/mildew, and on my floor everything was painted lavender. The breakfast great many option. You enter your room to discover furniture from the 1970's with all lavender painted dividers. And the bed was exceptionally comfortable and pads. The lavatory was clean and huge. I profoundly prescribed this lodging.

    Relaxing Place

The hotel is also about a few blocks down the hill from Grace Cathedral (top of Nob Hill). The hotel is located in the little Theater District. Given its location, it is a great choice if you plan to spend most of your time around the Union Square area. I lived downtown San Francisco for many years and know the neighborhood very well. The hotel room had all the basic amenities and was clean and quite spacious. I really liked the Malin + Goetz soap as it had such a wonderful aroma unlike the hard, bland run-of-the-mill hotel soap in most places. The Clift's building is old, but then most of the buildings in the downtown San Francisco area are very old (100 years). The room is quite spacious and had a great WiFi signal. By being at the Clift, you would be staying at a hotel that has a lot of history. I would recommend the Clift for its easy access to many San Francisco landmarks. They are within walking distance or easily accessed via public transportation. I stayed in business and would gladly return again for either biz or a holiday stay in the future.

    Great Stay

I stayed four nights at the Clift last week. I was in San Francisco for a conference. The location was great, my meetings were near Union Square, but the hotel was also well situated for touring around the city and had easy access to many excellent restaurants. The room was as quiet a hotel room as I had ever had. The finishing are a bit dated and worn, but very comfortable and everything works well. The staff were tremendous and the Redwood Bar is a must. It is a bit pricey, especially with the extras they add on, but I would definitely stay again.
