Embarking on what was anticipated to be a relaxing getaway, our stay at Benz Hotel in Taiwan was unfortunately marred by a couple of significant issues that made my experience far less enjoyable than expected. Here's a detailed account of my stay: The Scented Symphony of Cigar: Upon entering my room, I was immediately greeted by an overpowering smell of cigar smoke. It clung to every fabric and corner, suggesting that previous occupants had frequently smoked in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Despite efforts to air it out, the scent lingered persistently throughout my stay, serving as an unwelcome reminder of the room's past. The Unending Orchestra of Construction: Adding to the discomfort was the relentless symphony of construction noise. Starting early in the morning and persisting throughout the day, the sound of drilling, hammering, and machinery became a constant backdrop to my stay. This was especially frustrating during moments when rest and relaxation were most needed. The Benz Hotel could offer a pleasant stay under different circumstances, but my visit was unfortunately overshadowed by factors that were hard to overlook.
