LikedThe location is barely a few minutes away from the train station and the beach! Few minutes drive to the wushih harbour for guishan island tour. Stay here only if you are driving and have planned full day itineraries in toucheng. A good place to stay over near the beach. The lady owner is friendly and contactable via Line app. Recommend to contact owner earlier to check if the room with lift is available or not. The room is spacious.

DislikedThere are not much food options nor any market or supermarket nearby. The train station is unmanned. No taxi stands or bus stops nearby, but Toucheng station has taxi stands so book your cab there if you need to head out to anywhere and have no vehicle. Basically a simple accommodation near the beach. Note that the train station has stairs only (no lift/escalator) and is not fully sheltered. There are 2 locations for this accoms, 1 is closer to the beach (opp the train station) and 1 is closer to the train station. Odd numbered road is closer to train station, do not walk to the wrong building. Not recommended if you are not driving.

LikedLocation is amazing, right next to the beach and very close walking distance to the train station. Upon arrival, we upgraded our room to one with a window facing the ocean (for an additional fee, but very reasonable in my opinion) -- note this might depend on availability, since the original room listed on booking.com does state no window. It was so nice to wake up and watch the beauty of a sunrise on the ocean! Room had AC, mini fridge, TV, towels, water boiler with tea/coffee packets, and some amenities. FYI found out that breakfast is no longer served/offered ever since covid, at least from our stay in August 2023.

DislikedCan't think of anything but heads up there isn't much going on around the Waiao train station area at night (which was fine for us!). There are only a few food places that are open, so if looking for food options you can take a short ride to the next town, or pack snacks/food to bring.

LikedThe rooms are new and clean and if you booked a room with a window you can have a nice sea view. The hotel staff is very friendly. Make sure you book a sea view room as other rooms might face a busy road or don’t have a window

DislikedWhen I arrived I learned that I booked a room without window. The host offered me a better room with a sea view for an extra charge. It is no problem but it would be nice if the host would make this more clear on the website. It is only written in the bottom of the room description which you might not see if you use the app. The lighting in the room is not nice and only on one side of the room. I found the prices a bit too high for a home stay but overall it was fine.
