My husband and I stayed at this property for 7 nights. Our room was standard double room without windows. ***First of all, the location is fantastic and convenient. Exit #8 at Dongmen station. 7-11, banks, and restaurants are really closed by and also there is a traditional market behind of property. **The hotel receptionists are nice, friendly and responsive. Bottle of waters, toothpaste, tooth brush ect are provided at front desk. ** The room is spacious. For me, mattress is ok. We love shower (water pressure) very relax after showering. The wifi in the room need to be improved. Just browsing a web page, the internet was often on and off, especially between 7, 8 pm til midnight. Lobby ( front desk L level) wifi no problem, stable and speed of download is good. Overall of it, we love this property. I highly recommend the hotel if you come to visit Taipei.

PRO: The Dongmen station of the Zhonghe-Xinlu line and the Tamsui-Xinyi line, which takes you directly to Taipei Main Station and Taipei 101, is located just below the hotel (Exit 8). The entrance to the hotel is around the corner and the reception, where the breakfast room is also located, can be reached by lift. There are numerous places to eat and shop in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Some sights are also within walking distance. I stayed at the Chaiin Hotel for a total of 12 days, interrupted by a four-day stay in Hualien. Both times I stayed in room 709 (Superior Double Room). I would like to emphasise the multi-standard sockets that don't require adapters, the - compared to other hotels - large table with desk lamp and the landline phone, which is no longer common these days. There are three WiFi SSIDs with fluctuating field strength. It is therefore advisable to register Internet-connected devices on all three SSIDs, so that the device can switch to another if one connection fails. This will result in relatively few disconnections. Tea, coffee and water are available at reception, as are some toiletries. Another practical feature is the water dispenser in the restaurant, which you can use to refill your water bottles, thus avoiding a lot of plastic waste. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would especially like to mention Claire, Winnie and Kevin from the breakfast restaurant, who give you a great start to the day with their warmth and perfect service (best wishes from Mike from Germany). CON: What bothered me the most were the constant and strong fluctuations in temperature when taking a shower, as the pressure of the cold water was very sensitive to additional users. Technical improvements should be made here. With only one lift for 12 floors, there is often a lot of traffic, which can lead to long waiting times. However, the picture gallery in the staircase from the ground floor to the reception is remarkable, so it is worth taking the stairs from time to time. The ceiling light over the washbasin is too weak and unsuitable for applying make-up, for example. There is little storage space, and the room would be too cramped for two people with a lot of luggage.
