Realised not all classic twin rooms are the same. Some are bigger and some are much smaller. Had a good experience during my stay in 2016, and booked the same room type again. However, we got a much smaller room this time. We requested for a change of room, luckily the bigger room was available and the staff granted our request. But I think the attitude of front desk could have been more friendly. The standard of breakfast had also dropped as compared to my stay in 2016. Will be good to have a few clothes hook outside the shower room for hanging clothes. The drainage of in room hot spring tub is not good. Water drains very slow.

LikedSpacious room, hot spring tub, friendly staff, free public hot spring room, best breakfast.
DislikedThe loud noise from the drain due to the heavy rain in the early morning of our last stay and stink smell in the room when we were back from breakfast. Our room is 306, luckily it happened on the check out day. I don't know whether this is the reason we got free upgrade, this room has defects.

Stayed during my previous trip to beitou. The room was quite poorly maintained even though it had all the amenities (steam room + hotspring tub). Parts of the furniture had water damage, the room was unexpectedly crammed. Breakfast quality was good but the staff seemed rather indifferent to the guests and clearing of tables in a rather small area is on the slow side so used plates do stack up on your table. The walls of the room was also v thin and slight banging of doors and conversations were easily heard and amplified. The worst part of the stay was the airconditioning that seem almost impossible to operate and after many attempts to adjust the temp higher, it always falls back to 14 deg celsius which was freezing cold to us.
