LikedEverything. If you’re seeking an authentic Ryokan experience without the hefty price tag, this hotel is your ideal destination. The service is unparalleled; staff are exceptionally attentive, going above and beyond to ensure perfection in every aspect. Attention to detail is evident throughout, from the buffet’s thoughtful inclusion of furikake for children to an extensive selection ranging from Taiwanese breakfast congee to Japanese sashimi. The hotel’s design is ingeniously inspired by the concept of ‘屋中屋’ (a house within a house), as showcased in the video captured from the elevator descending to the lobby. Rooms adopt a traditional Ryokan style, complete with daily yukata and sock changes, enhancing the authenticity of the experience. Location is superb. 1 minute walk to 7-11, Carrefour, 5 mins to New Beitou MRT and literally just across is the Onsen Museum with FOC entry daily. DislikedRooms are too small for family. Can do with more hangers or cupboard to hang jackets. No windows hence feeling a bit claustrophobic and stuffy. But other than that it’s perfect stay.
