Lack of cleaning. Paint pealing. Moldy smell. Bad ventilation. Bathroom glass filthy. There was someone who stayed in the room during Christmas and wrote merry Christmas on the room mirror with their finger. When the room would steam up from the bathroom, the merry Christmas would show on the mirror 3 months later which shows the mirror wasn’t cleaned for months. The sheets made me itchy. The room had no window to open for ventilation. The staff moved us to another room after complaining but the difference was only that the room had a window. Staff do not speak English so only communication is through exchanging google translate.

Arrival: no receptionist after 1930… had to go to another hotel and pick up the keys. The room was last renovated sometime in the 1990s but the DNA of the room (tiles wallpaper furniture) were evidently from 1978-1982. Lovely receptionist lady one morning, hot water and an Asian kettle but boy this hotel needs a major renovation ( even the lift was partly working). With extra 30 Eur one can find something more decent (from a hotel chain:brand) next to a metro station…

The hotel staff is friendly and nice, and the location is nearby some shops and an MRT station. However, at night, it is very dark to walk alone because all the shops surrounding the hotel are closed. From 7:30 pm to 7:30 am, there is no receptionist at the hotel lobby. If you need anything during this time, it may be a bit troublesome, and trying to call the number they provided yields no answer. Overall, it is okay, but the price is a bit high. Additionally, the Dyson hair dryer cannot be used because their plug supports only 110 volts, while the Dyson hair dryer requires 250 volts.

Value for money! The age of the hotel is noticeable, but overall still a good place to rest up after exploring the city. Resto, convenience store just around the corner. Friendly staff, speaks English too. Quick self check-in & out. Superb location, only 2 blocks from the MRT so going places is easier. We were able to enjoy our NYE Countdown and chose to walk back instead of getting caught up in the crowd. We were surprised to get free minibar items on our last night, thanks for this. Will definitely recommend the place.
