Cavemen Hostel Taipei Station Youth Branch

LikedThe beds were comfy and I liked the curtains at each bed. Even though the hostel is directly in the city center, it was real quiet, especially at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, if you'd need anything. i really liked the living area with a lots of seats and couches, where it was very convenient to work. They provide different wifi hotspots also. They have a water refill station for hot and cold water.

DislikedThe cleanliness could have been better sometimes. Also, a towel would have been nice (otherwise you need to purchase one) or free use of the washing machine - especially for this price. Free use of tea / coffee would have been great too.

Likedstayed in the 4 female dorm and the beds were pretty nice, good lockers. also location of the hostel is really good.

Dislikedit is so hot during the night (i was literally sweating) but can’t change the thermostat. bathroom is quite messy (floors with water and hair). the staff aren’t mean but aren’t nice either. also you can only pay with card if it’s over 1000 NT. i added one night and they said cash only (even though it says card is ok on booking.com)

LikedEasy to get to from the main station. Bathrooms were fairly clean compared to most hostels.

DislikedThe mattress needs updating , air-conditioning blowing straight on you if you are on top of bunk bed, also too cold. Need to be quiet in the shared lobby after 10 pm. I am used to hostels where you can still socialise.

DislikedOur room with double bunkbed was really very small. Aircon was quite noisy during the night.
