This was my second stay at formosa having stayed here in 2017. It's a great hostel, it has a very cozy vibe to it. Hot coffee available all day is awesome. Cool views. The building is not the newest but I like that about it, it has a rustic city hostel vibe but everything is kept very clean. I was a little frustrated by an electricity issue however I appreciated the property's response to the issue and so am still very happy I stayed there. If I return to Taipei in the future I will stay for a 3rd time. Thank you!

LikedLocation, close to the Taipei 101 and night market.
DislikedShared bathroom was out of the "apartment" what make the logistic not pleasant. Room had window, but it couldnt open and towels were not for free. Basic breakfast.

LikedThe hotel has a great location. Although it's a short distance from the subway station, the surrounding area is very convenient with plenty of atmospheric restaurants and bars. Plus, it's not far from the bustling Xinyi District if you want to go there
Disliked1. The soundproofing is extremely poor. We stayed in a double room and could clearly hear the footsteps of every person passing by in the hallway, as well as conversations from the adjacent room. 2. The hairdryer and shower area are combined in the bathroom, which poses a safety hazard as water may splash onto the hairdryer. The hairdryer is very old and noisy, making it quite frightening to use, as if it might explode at any moment.
