Norway Forest Travel Hotel 1 Taichung

LikedThe best feature of the hotel is it position in front of Taichung Main station with connections to many places in town and the surroundings. The decoration of the hotel is a bit quirky, but in a nice way. It looks like geared at families with small children, but everyone can like the play with patterns and colours. Downside is that the seven floors are served by only one elevator and sometimes it takes families a long time to get in and out. The rooms are standard size and in good shape, the public spaces are cramped and not very inviting notwithstanding the decoration. In the basement there is a playing area for children. Breakfast is reasonable. But if you want more variety there is the food court on F1 level of the station.

DislikedReception was a bit chaotic. Didn't scan passports at check in, so we were asked to bring them again.

LikedClean and comfy bed. Except only 1 small lift within and breakfast variety can be better. They provide welcome beverages for guests which is relatively comforting!

LikedThe room was very clean and the location was very convenient. There is a convenience store opposite and walkable distance to the train station. There were many bus stops around the area too, very convenient.

DislikedThe walls were pretty thin and could hear voices and flushing sounds from the other room.
