LikedYou can't beat the location just opposite the train station. Rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was adequate for the price.

DislikedThe only reason I don't give a better review is the lack of Wifi. There is supposed to be Wifi, but it is so weak and unstable that it is useless. Other than that I have no complaints about the hotel

LikedHotel was very close to train station. Front desk staff was very friendly. Room was very clean. Breakfast spread was impressive. We love the coffee from the coffee machine.

LikedMain positive is the convenient location - only a few minutes walk from Taichung station making it easy to get to the HSR station, 5 minutes away from shuttle bus to sun moon lake and virtually all buses stop just a street over! Clean rooms (almost too much so - see below)

DislikedOverwhelming smell of bleach in the room - combine this with lack of windows (although this is openly advertised) and we ended up feeling rather nauseous whilst in the room. It didn't really clear overnight with fans and A/C running. The hotel is a bit dated, but not significantly. The breakfast was of poor quality, most items were cold. The staff weren't particularly helpful, not unpleasant but seemed to avoid us as foreigners. Although a convenient location, it's not a nice location with nicer restaurants and night market being located 20-30 mins away. Homeless people staying right outside the hotel.
