I was looking for a basic hotel (with a low price), and there are just other options that would be more worth the money. Location was farther from the train station than we thought (taxi about 150 TWD), and from the minute we arrived, all 5 days we stayed here the smell of smoke was literally as if someone was standing in front of the room smoking. There are “no smoking” signs everywhere, obviously not enforced much… and that’s pretty much the entire experience of this hotel. IF you’re a smoker, then I guess this is your place :) the WiFi was ok (20-30mbps), the air-con VERY strong, and the hot water worked (it’s an old hotel, so it takes a few minutes). Good luck!

The facility is showing its age, but considering the price I paid, I was pleasantly surprised. I booked a room with a king bed and found it also included a small additional bed, making it suitable for up to 3 people. The location is excellent, with 2 bus stops right in front of and next to the hotel—particularly useful in Taichung, where buses are the primary mode of transport. Additionally, the hotel is surrounded by various stores, including several bubble milk tea shops. While the building and rooms are old, the bed and bathroom were clean. Given the affordability, I can't complain about the dated facilities. If you're on a budget, this hotel is a solid choice—just be prepared for older accommodations.
