LikedVery accomodating staff. Close to shopping, eateries and transport links.
DislikedAs in many of the Taichung places I have stayed in, the street noise was excessive. Light sleepers like me will want to pack earplugs. I am told that the second Kao Yan hotel a few hundred metres away on Taiwan boulevard has rooms that have no window at all, which is something I will look into if I decide to stay in the area again.

Dislikedsome cleck couldn’t speak English and never smiled. I met few clerks in hotel they were kind but a female clerk was not. I asked for hair dryer which is broken and she said just ‘come to reception’
