If you are looking for convenient place to stay in Taichung, then Holiday Inn Express is ideal for you, its just take about 10mins distance to YiZhong night market and also you can get shopping within the same building of the hotel but from public transport MRT station to hotel have distance so better take taxi. The staff is friendly and efficient. By the way Agodo booking without welcome drink, if you book from the website directly then you can entitle a free welcome drink.

Yizhong night market and Taichung train station is less than 1km walking distance. Shopping mall within the same building, decent breakfast, friendly staff, room is clean. The only thing that needed improvement is the bedding, pillows and mattress are too soft

It's located inside a OUTLET mall which is a plus if you are looking to shop with discount. Beside that, there's a Starbucks at Level 1 which is a plus. I love the breakfast varieties, it may not be a lot compared to Big international Hotel but quality over quantity. It's also walking distance to one of the night market and train station.
