The hotel location is great, within minutes of walk to Formosa Station. The room is clean and spacious, with foods options and night markets nearby. Worth the money.

Down graded from 4.5 star to 4 star from my point of view. The facilities here are old and not maintained very well. I chose to stay in this this because my father recommended it. I stayed with my father this time, this was his third time staying in this hotel (2017, 2019 and 2024). He said that the quality of facilities in the room had been deteriorating and not well maintained. The difference between 2019-2024 is shockingly large. The wooden case of desk flacks off (i did told the front desk about this and didn't request change of the room as we are staying for 1 night only) and the carpet 3 out of 5 clean (still dusty anyways). The plastic seal for the door in the bathroom turns yellowish brown and the coner in the bathing area are sticked with yellowish stain, which my dad didn't encounter back in 2019. The worse thing of the room is that I found a nail, about 1 1/4 inch long, inside one of the robe, and the hanger of the robe is broken (the nail from the broken hanger maybe 🤔). Fortunately I usually check everything and give it a shake before wearing any robe in any hotel, I successfully put myself away from the annoying and lenthy claiming process for travel insurance but missed a chance to try riding on an ambulance in Kaohsiung. I was too shocked at that time and forgot to take photos of it (I did fill in the feedback form and gonna send an email on this issue to the hotel) Front desk and reception: Very slightly under expectation (way better than what i encounter in the room) The staff are very polite and multilingual. There is lacking staff at the reception. Back in 2017 and 2019, there was a bellboy carring luggage and help booking taxi, but this is not the case in 2024, as every traveller who frequently goes to Kaohsiung knows finding taxi is a time consuming thing (you may have to wait for 45 minutes for a taxi from my dad's experience) and receptionist usually ask if you need a taxi ride whenever you leave the hotel. There is no such thing in this hotel, you may have to border the front desk receptionist for assistance and they usually recommend you to take MRT at first (Which the hotel is 45 sec from MRT exit) 6 out of 5 For storing luggage after check out: I love Taiwan fruits and bought a bagful in every visit. I told the receptionist to handle them with care, they handel it super carefully and ask if I want those fruits refrigerated. Overall (not considering lacking staff) is exceptional for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast: 4 out of 5 for a 4 star hotel Wide variety, especially drinks (can't find soup noodles but only soup which is available back than) Nice food and nice view! Only a blunder: the chef needs some more english class from the green bird, he made me an omelette instead of Sunny side up (what i requested). Lounge at ground floor: also a lounge for gangs of mosquitoes. Hardware is way under my expectation while staff here are exceptional. (maybe I should set a lower expectation in the beginning)
