We were very impressed with the lady receptionist, Julia, who checked us in on 9 April. The checking-in process was completed in a twinkling of an eye. We asked her many questions including hailing a taxi to Cijing and to the HSR Station. She patiently answered our questions and recorded our requests to be followed up by her colleagues when she was off duty. She served cheerfully. We booked a Standard Twin and a Standard Double. rooms. The rooms are bigger than we expected. The rooms are undoubtedly dated but clean. The bath tubs in the bathrooms have occupied too much space. Perhaps the management may want to install more hooks in the bathrooms to hang our clothes. We like the open space in the relatively big and spacious lobby. We enjoyed a cup of tea/coffee and nibbled on the biscuits provided at the self served coffee corner, just to wind down after a day's outing. We did not make use of the MRT but we travelled in taxis since there were 4 of us, The taxi fare from Liuhe Night Market to the hotel was NT130. One of the nights, we had a sumptuous dinner at a Japanese restaurant (小园）nearby. Generally, the staff, whether front desk staff or backroom staff are courteous and helpful. A flaw, if this can be considered a flaw, is the repetitive choices of food at the breakfast table. The choices are predominantly Taiwanese dishes. That said, I will still choose Talmud Love River should I travel to Kaohsiung again.

Room is spacious, location is ok too, from nearest metro station is about 3 mins walk.
