Stayed here during an overnight transit in TPE. Arrived after midnight and the check-in process was smooth and quick. The room was well-sized and clean. Most of the bathroom amenities are available upon request. There's a free shuttle bus departing every half hour to the airport, takes around 5-10 mins.

I picked this hotel because I had an 8am flight, and it was recommend that we arrive 3 hrs earlier. The Taoyuan MRT from Taipei starts at 6am, too late for us. The Novotel is located at one end of the airport and has a free shuttle to the airport terminals starting at 4am. The location and shuttle was perfect for our needs. Checkin and checkout was a little slow. Our room was adequate if a little dated. Still, everything worked, so no real complaints. I was quite impressed with their gym, lap pool and cute play area for young children (unfortunately, my 11 year-old has outgrown such play areas). I only time to lift a few weights, but I wish I had time to use lap pool. They also had a ping pong table in the gym and a pool table outside. My son enjoyed a tasty cheeseburger and fries from room service, and I got a nicely made cocktail from the bar. In the morning, they had complimentary pastries and coffee in the lobby. The shuttle was already waiting when we checked out. and took us promptly to the airport.. I’d definitely stay in this hotel again if I have a layover in Taoyuan or a an earlier flight again.

The location is strategic for transit. The front desk service is good, prompt response and good follow up for the special arrangement of an extra bed and breakfast. The shower room should have a thick curtain to cover the view from the bed room area as the glass wall tint is not thick enough. Thanks, June

LikedConvenience to airport and shuttle service. Helpful staff. Generous room size with comfortable bed.
DislikedBreakfast was disappointing (for Westerners anyway)
