LikedThe room was lovely and clean and lots of extra touches. The decor was beautiful

LikedBreakfast was very good. Cappuccino from the coffee machine was tasty and the setting was generally good enough. Atmosphere was guiet, nice music and very beautiful decoration increased satisfaction. Location was excellent near Bridge Karlov. Room was more than we expected. Large and very high bedroom was beautiful and again, decoration was nice. Bathroom was big enough, water pressure was normal and a little detail, there was Rituals products. The street below was full of people all the time, but the noise was not heard in the room.

DislikedAir conditioning worked, but i could be more efficient. It was silence which was positive.

LikedThe hotel itself was fine albeit a little noisy both in location but also sound insulation from the floorboards above and adjacent rooms. However, the main issue was that the hotel reception staff tried to charge us EUR 75 more per night on arrival for the 3 night stay (so EUR 225 in total) because I had mistakenly selected a twin room for 1 adult (rather than 2 adults from the drop down menu) despite booking.com showing the difference in price to be £14 only!! This was a genuine mistake on my part at the time of booking and should have been swiftly corrected by hotel management particularly given the booking made it very clear about the second guest and a twin room. But the hotel manager was out of town and unavailable and the hotel reception staff were very unhelpful and said the hotel manager had taken the decision to charge us the additional amount. These sorts of things should never happen, particularly when it is clear the price which booking.com charges for a second guest. I did finally manage to resolve the issue through booking.com but it took me 3 calls to do so (and a lot of unnecessary time on a short break away which you should never have to do!)

DislikedThe hotel reception attitude and approach

LikedThe location of this hotel is amazing. We love this area. The room was absolutely stunning, huge, and spotlessly clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldn't recommend this place enough. The breakfast is lovely. Lots of choice and everything is very fresh.

DislikedThe only thing to note is that there is a club downstairs, so it can get noisy in the evening, but there's nothing the hotel can do about that. We had our 6 year old with us and she slept just fine, so it's not too bad.

LikedGorgeous and exceptionally pleasant hotel in the best possible location. All staff mature, friendly, helpful and polite which creates a most tranquil atmosphere. Smooth, hassle-free check-in and check-out. Room super cosy with everything you need. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom with quality toiletries and towels. Really a wonderful experience. Would stay again.
