LikedIt is quite central and decent but too expensive for the value.

DislikedThe staff were friendly but the property itself was not very clean. The room was spacious but only cleaned once a week.

LikedThe accommodation is in an old Army Barracks that's had a makeover since the British vacated in the 1970s, very cool if you've got an interest in military history. There is a pool that is less than 50metres from all the rooms. It is very well located, easy to get to Valetta, St Julian's is a short-walk. Ideal for younger groups, touring sports teams etc.

DislikedOn arrival our room wasn't ready, "The previous occupant hadn't checked out properly and had left items in the room. So we put in an alternative, which was effectively a downgrade, no compensation offered. We were then asked for €50 cash as a deposit for a room key, when I explained I didn't have cash as had come straight from the airport, the response was "€20 then", we eventually agreed to no deposit. The site was hosting the Dutch Kingsday celebrations on the Saturday of our weekend stay, great if you want to listen to thumping dance music from 11:00-23:00, not great if you want to enjoy an afternoon nap and some time by the pool. All rooms back onto the open area where the pool (and the party) is, any noise there is coming straight into the rooms. This party wasn't communicated to us prior to, or at the time of booking. Check to see if they are hosting events at the site before you book. Our actual room (the one we got into the second day of our stay) flooded on first use of the shower. I gave the plughole and pipework a good clean out myself and found enough hair to make a scarf, regular maintenance would've prevented the issue.

DislikedIt was very loud because of a construction site, school, kindergarden... There are rats above the apartment ceilings which are running around the whole night, it was cold in the shared rooms, the beds are like concrete and cooking stuff is missing in the kitchen... We left earlier...

LikedThe pool is amazing. Room was renovated and very nice and clean. Location is great!
