LikedI found the ryokan to be elegant and inviting. I would stay here again while in central Kyoto.

DislikedBreakfast was not available - I arrived quite late at night from Tokyo. But that is my fault, and the staff patiently waited for my in spite of the delay.

LikedIt’s a very cute traditional Ryokan with lovely staff. The rooms are cute, they bring you tea and a sweet every day. We tried the traditional Japanese breakfast which was a nice experience

DislikedThere are lots of rules about where you can wear shoes which is fine but you need to leave your shoes at the front entrance and give the key back every time you go out. It’s just a bit annoying. The futons are not comfortable at all - we added an extra two futons to the ones they set up for us. The bathroom is very old.
