LikedA lovely hotel in a great location. Comfy bed and sheets, which was my main priority this trip.

DislikedThe bathroom was nice, but the tile work and tub could use a refresh. The plumbing was noisy when other guests used water.

We stayed at Boston to have the opportunity to visit MIT. And I chose Meridien for its proximity to this building. Arriving quite later than expected due to a lot of traffic, we were welcomed by a little "Hi" and a " credit card and ID please". I said to my husband : "it's like we disturbed the woman behind her counter" I tried to be comprehensive and asked her how her day was. She answered "I am tired" , my legs hurt" You have to stand up all day long" I asked her. To which she replied yes. For me, doing that, I tried to understand what could explain such an attitude.... When we arrived in our room, we noticed that the wifi code didn't work. When we came down, the man gave the code as if it was a favor... quite surprising... And the "cerise sur le gâteau" as we said in French, when we came back from our diner, the same old man with the Wi-Fi code, asked us if it was our car under the entry hall, we couldn't leave it for more than 10 minutes... There were 3 other cars behind and in front of ours. The woman with whom we made our check in told me it was hers and others' one.... In fact it won't be a problem to move my car if the employees had been talking to me differently. I remain THE client and I deserve to be addressed differently, more kindly. It is unacceptable such a condescending attitude !!! Maybe a sign outside informing such rules could be useful. I would have moved my car for sure if it was asked in a kind manner. And it wasn't.

LikedLocation. Convenient to dining options in East Cambridge and to bus and subway transit.

DislikedNothing to criticize but, at the same time, we weren't blown away by the hotel. This did not equal our previous experience with Le Méridien at Post Office Square'which admittedly was many years ago.
