Hotel Villa Sonia

LikedCute balcony, nice place for swimming pool and quite okay connection with busses to town. (Last bus back comes quite early tho). One of the cleaning ladies were so kind.

DislikedIn the room it was extremely cold, we had to ask for 2 extra blankets so we could sleep okay. Did not expect much from breakfast and I was right, but there was one good croissant I liked. The room door did not close very well and a few times we discovered that it is still open after coming back. Also had to leave the key to reception when you leave the building, just take that into account.

LikedLoved the location! Away from all the tourist commotion! Spectacular view off our terrace of Mt Etna! Breakfast was delightful! Free shuttle round trip into Taormina! Dinner at their restaurant was delightful & also dinner up in Castelmola was delicious w/spectacular views of the ocean! We spent the afternoon by the pool! Highly recommend!

DislikedHaving to pay for parking, it should have been made clearer that their was a charge to park in the Hotel facilities.

LikedThis hotel is filled with an eclectic range of furniture and art work with the most amazing view of mount Etna Staff were helpfull and pleasant

DislikedUnfortunately the jacuzzi bath wasn't working nor was the television, which I managed to fix myself as they couldn't. My husband hit his toe going into the bathroom as it was up a step which he didn't see as the lights were inside the bathroom. No tea or coffee making facilities which I think is very disappointing.. There was a fridge in the room but it was so loud we had to turn it off at night.
