The Hoxton, Charlottenburg

LikedThe room was very nice, with a very comfortable bed. The location of the hotel itself is really good. There are many good restaurants and shops close by, as well as many transportation options to get easily around the city.

DislikedWhile booking the stay, a free taxi from the airport was listed as one of the provided services. After checking with the support, they let me know this is not something they actually offer. After sending a screenshot and explaining again that this is something they listed in the offering I got no reply. Upon arrival the staff didn’t give basic information at check in. They didn’t let me know, that room cleaning is upon request. After requesting room cleaning, only the duvet and pillow covers were changed, but not the actual bed sheets, so I had to request the room cleaning again. The hand wash and body wash were watered down (looks like they just add water to the refillable bottles which seems cheap and unhygienic. Not exactly what I would expect from a 4 star hotel with this high of a rating.

LikedThe interiors are in a beautiful Art deco style, we loved it so much! They had everything we needed and the location was really great - quiet and with a metro station nearby.

DislikedThis should be in their "Terms and conditions", but it's not: they require a security deposit. It is not so big, for us, for 4 nights, it was 150eur, but yet a bit unpleasant surprise. Another thing was air conditioning which was blowing quite harshly. Good think, that it stops when the window is opened. Yet, the window doesn't open fully, so there was a bit too hot at night (but it's still better, than catching a cold because of the conditioning).
