Bangtao Varee Beach

LikedLowkey was in a muay Thai fighting ring sitch, so was a bit odd. However, shout out to PJ, he was lovely and the place was so nice.

LikedPerfect location behind Bangtao Muay Thai and MMA. Clean bungalows and perfect for those there to train.

LikedLocation + the room cleaning and gardening staff were nice.

DislikedPrice for what it was, no bedding other than a pillow and sheet, hard to contact staff, differences in price due to it either being booked through the MMA/Muay Thai gym or booked independently. I was given an initially price by the gym and then told it was booked out. However I could still book it on my own on Booking.com for a much higher price but then also had to pay for the gym separately. I travelled all over Thailand for 2.5 months. This was my least favourite place and the highest price I paid. I did stay here around Christmas and New Year but have stayed in the area over that time before and never had to pay so much for so little.

LikedYou get what you pay for with this property, we booked it just for one night on our way back to Phuket airport after travelling around. To check in you have to go into the MMA training gym to get the key. The rooms are very basic and old fashioned, bed was very hard. It didn’t feel very clean and there were ants on most surfaces. The door was a bit dodgy to lock which wasn’t ideal. Staff were friendly upon check in.

DislikedLock on door difficult to use (I had to ask a cleaner, and the cleaner also had to ask for help) It's the accommodation for the nearby MMA studio. Lots of half-naked Russian men around. It was hard to find reception (which was the MMA club and had to wait in line behind MMA participants) AC was tricky to use.
