Artemis Cynthia Complex

LikedOverall I am really happy with my stay. We came on Saturday around 6pm so check-in was closed, however we were provided with clear instructions on how to aquire the room key! The apartment was nice and clean, having a kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, living room and a balcony overlooking one of the 5 swimming pools for the apartment blocks. The apartment had A/C, which as a rain loving Brit, was needed. The kitchen appliances were very clean and all the cutlery was in working order. The beds were really comfy and the bathroom was a decent size with a nice strong shower. The only tip I'd give you is to make sure you press the water heater button before having showers! Especially in the morning! We had to check in on the Monday to fill some paperwork and the lady on the desk (unfortunately didn't get her name) was very friendly and spoke perfect English. She explained the process of the check in and the check out procedure and showed us where the nearest airport bus stop was (612, approx a 10 min walk). The apartment is around 20 mins walk from beach area/bars, and around a 30 min walk to the old town of Pafos. I'm very happy with this booking, especially with the price!!

DislikedThe air con in the spare room didn't work

LikedWe stayed for a month in March. Grounds had mature citrus trees with lovely scent. Staff were responsive when we asked for assistance with a problem with shower head - it was completely clogged and needed to be replaced. Wifi was pretty good. A good grocery store within walking distance.

DislikedThis apartment is not well equipped. The bed is EXTRA FIRM and bouncy mattress with no cushion or pillow top. The living room sofa is a sleeper, with a hard iron edge and flat cushions that meant there was no way to be comfortable. No extra pillows provided. Kitchen had bare minimum, and oven didn't work well (everything we cooked burned as 6 of the 7 settings turned out to be broiler). The washing machine door wouldn't close/open correctly and it obviously is old and need to be looked at. I don't think any owner or manager has lived in the unit, if they had they would know how uncomfortable it is. There are 5 pools - all accessed only with steep ladders. Smoking is allowed all over the complex and smell from neighbors drifted onto our terrace. We had to walk through smoke often to reach the elevators. Not having a clear smoke free path to elevators and pools was upsetting.

DislikedBeds very uncomfortable, bunk beds for adult guests unreasonable, main bed very poor mattress and pillows aged and no. Supportive. Staff unable to resolve complaints effectively and only seeking upgrades more money. Aircon filters unclean and two guests fell ill due to this. Really very disappointing cannot see why this complex got an award as it was not good at all.

LikedEverything was perfect. Lovely apartments fully equipped, great view, helpful staff. One of the location to come back, definitely.
