Like other reviewers say, location is right on the beach but you will have to walk to everywhere as the resort has a huge ground. (The tsunami escape secondary exit is locked hence there’s no short cut to get out and wonder how to escape in case of tsunami?) The resort has a beautiful well kept ground with lots of plants, birds and monitor lizards. There are also 3 pools available for use. We booked the deluxe room which was well worth the money, the room is very spacious and comes with a huge balcony but the toilet is not air-conditioned and noise can be heard from neighbour or passerby. Resort staff are pleasant and willing to help. When I checked in I noticed a stench of unbearable smell from the blanket, I complained to the staff and it was changed promptly. Along the beach, there are many restaurants and bars open I until late with fire shows. There are 2 local restaurants outside the resort entrance that serve good food. It’s quite a walk to get to the main road like 10mins so i hired a bike from the resort which costs £200 per day to explore the island. Taxis are also available but sometimes couldn’t get one during peak hours. The beach is not very clean but ok, I headed to the right end shore for swim as the wave is not so strong there and has less coals. Breakfast was very good, one of the best with many options. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 nights stay here and would recommend if you are looking for some peaceful and relaxing stay without screaming annoying children.

Room staff are very good, cleanliness in rooms good, overall place is a bit run down, the restaurant toilets were quite frankly Staff at reception not very kind or helpful and the beach area was filthy, cigarette ends, plastic straws beside the loungers on the beach area. Very non eco friendly The beach bar staff were quite rude , especially one older woman with glasses . She was disrespectful to many guests behind their back and generally bad mouthing guests and management to other staff which brought the mood down . Very surly bar tender too , many guests went to other places to eat / drink .as food too was pretty awful,. Luckily there are highly rated restaurants opposite entrance to hotel, with friendly staff and very reasonably priced. I was surprised at the rudeness of some staff at the Twin Lotus , having lived in Thailand for 18 years, I understand and speak quite a bit of Thai . I love the the Thai people and their attitude to life. From a street food vendors to the Oriental Bangkok .. Twin lotus staff are obviously unhappy, need training and the lady with glasses may need help .
