Step out the front door onto Royal Street to the sights, sounds, and sips of New Orleans in the heart of The French Quarter! This was a return stay for us to The Wyndham French Quarter, and we were not disappointed! The hotel is within walking distance of anywhere in The French Quarter, restaurants are numerous and entertainment abounds right out the hotel door! Check in and valet parking were quick and easy, and the parking attendants and security guards were very helpful and personable. From our room, the view of the Mississippi River's crescent was beautiful, and while the room was not too spacious, (most of the hotels in The French Quarter have smaller rooms), the beds were comfortable, amenities were great, and the room was clean. My suggestions to the hotel would be to upgrade the flooring in the room to remove the dated carpet, the tiny soap and shampoo bottles had tops that were so small that the soap would barely come out, the bathroom needs a deep cleaning, and the removable bottom half shower curtains made for hotels would make cleaning those bathrooms even easier! Finally, as a fellow Southerner, Southern hospitality is a very real phenomenon, but the hotel desk attendants that we encountered need some deep lessons in friendliness and Southern hospitality!!!

I read the reviews prior to booking this hotel. They are correct. All of the staff are amazing, accommodating, and friendly. the House keepers work hard to stay on top of the volume of travelers. The location is perfect if you want to stay in the French Quarter. The value is worth the money. It is dated and could use some refreshing but otherwise was a great place to stay for the French Quarter festival.

Really great location. Only 10-15 minis away from everywhere. Clean and very friendly staff. Security is good too.
