Rivera del Rio Boutique Hotel

LikedThis property is so beautiful and quirky. I kind of felt like I was transported to Europe in PV.

LikedStaff were nice and welcoming. They have a nice rooftop pool. Walking distance to the Zona Romantica and a lot of restaurants too.

DislikedThe room we stayed (Green Room) was an old room. It had a black and green theme, which was ok for the room walls but not for the toilet(black colour) and bathtub(green) as it may potentially hide any dirts. The bathtub had an odd smell coming off from the hole also. It wasn’t so bad but could be better. The floor also is black. I get the boutique theme they tried to give the room, but the sanitary wears should be white.

LikedLocation is perfect--walkable to everything but still in a quiet area. Great restaurant choices by the hotel. Loved the pool and our friendly bartenders :) The hotel itself is a joy--unique and beautiful. The staff is exceptional. Our bed was soooo comfortable, I slept like a baby! Loved having the hotel cats come and go into our room--so sweet. Just felt relaxed and easy to be there.

DislikedThe single biggest downside was water pressure. It was literally impossible for us to shower in our room (Cortez). I didn't have an adequate shower all week honestly. We resorted to just running the water from the tub spigot and using washcloths to clean up--forget about washing or rinsing hair. Good thing I didn't care what I looked like all week! The hotel should try to improve this situation. It would take the experience from good to great.

LikedThe hotel is simply delightful. The staff is top notch, the pool and bar and breakfast is also 10/10

DislikedOur bathroom door needed a good clean, sheets could be newer.

LikedWe especially loved the roof top pool and yummy morning breakfasts. I still have all of the visuals in my head of the eclectic, fantastic interior design around the hotel. The colors, the paintings, the lighting were all unique and beautiful. Great staff, we felt safe and welcomed daily.
