When we checked in, we went up to our room on the fourth floor. We noticed that the door was slightly opened, so we went back down to the front desk. The receptionist asked us if we open the door and we told her no since it was open and requested another room. When we got to our next room, we were given two full-size beds and not the bed size we requested. The lighting in the bathroom was awful. The floors looked barley vacuumed and the showers were not the cleanest. You need to request maid service every day and were not told this upon checking in, however, we noticed there was a maid service sign behind our door so we put that on there every day assuming that they would come. Probably would not stay there again, however this was not the worst hotel room that we have stayed in.

The Millenium Knickerbocker is historical and well position in a great location in Chicago with very good value for money.

DislikedService at this place was horrible. Multiple attempts to resolve the overcharge was unsuccessful. Neither the front desk nor the GM was willing to help. Their accounting and billing department would never pick the phone. Stay away from this crooks.

LikedLocation is excellent. Having a restaurant on the premises is very useful. Food is good. Restaurant staff is excellent. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Housekeeping and maintenance are edficient, nice and polite. Doorman David is very nice and friendly. Gabino on the front desk is very nice and helpful. A very nice property with an old world charm.

DislikedPremises could use an update. Common areas and rooms are clean, however room windows are dingy. Shower in the middle of the shower is very awkward. Also the shower area is slippery and has no hand bars to hold on to, it felt dangerous Restaurant closes too early. No signs to indicate that the bar area serves food. Nightside front desk staff not as friendly as the morning’s.
