Hotel Indigo Barcelona - Plaza Catalunya

DislikedWhen I entered the room, there was a huge hair on top of the toilet, see picture 1, another huge hair on the Floor and another one in the shower. Another Hair was on my bed, this was definetly not acceptable. So I called the reception and they send me one from house keeping who did not speak English. Than the receprion called and told me they clean the room. Most disappinting was that they not even came to my room to see it themself and what is inacceptable is that they not even gave an excuse!!! Instead of that they gave me the feeling that I was wrong by requiring them to clean my room. This is very unprofessional.

LikedLocation was great and staff was very helpful and pleasant.

DislikedRoom was pretty small, dark and window looked on the inner well.

DislikedNot enough plug sockets e.g. had to unplug bedside clock to use hairdryer. Couldn’t plug phones in beside bed. 2 spare sockets hidden behind curtains. Light switches hidden behind curtains so had to open curtains to find switches each time. Door lock problematic - took 3 attempts each time to open door. Curtains snagging on the door - design issue. There was maintenance done in the room next door causing very strong chemical smells in my room. When I talked to reception about it, all they could say is ‘it should clear in the night’.
