Holiday Inn Orlando International Airport, An IHG Hotel

LikedThe hotel was clean, staff friendly and the grounds were nice. We were able to return our rental car early and use the hotel's 24hr shuttle service for our early morning flight so we didn't have to pay for parking at hotel.

LikedJazmine was wonderful and was the only person on staff that was helpful. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Dinner at restaurant was so delicious! Restaurant waiter on night of April 3rd was a true gem.

DislikedWe chose this hotel for the free shuttle from airport and free breakfast as advertised. Their shuttle was broken down. Overheard the driver talking with another hotel staff later that night about how it was broke down before and keeps breaking down. In fact, they were joking about it and laughing and high fiving each other which is just an insult when you put so many people out for the night and made them wait on you. There was no sense of urgency or sincerity from the staff on the night of April 3rd. Was repeatedly told to wait by the driver. Called driver 4 times while we were at the airport. Waited an hour just to have him say they couldn't get it to work and we were to find our own transport. We had to pay $30 for an Uber to get to the hotel. No one on staff the night of April 3rd would help us out with compensation or picking us up at the airport. The woman at the check in counter actually told us that every hotel in the area has courtesy vehicles for airport pickup as of to say we should have just booked another hotel then😮 She did assure us the vehicle would be working the next morning to take us to the airport. However, it was not. So when we asked two men at the check in counter what they can do to help is get to the airport, they just looked at the ground and shrugged their shoulders like they didn't understand English. Jazmine jumped up and took action and got us a transport. Finally someone who took care of us! We were so greatful for her. We found out the morning of breakfast that it was not free for everyone staying in our room. We had to go get our vouchers for only 2 breakfasts at the check in counter to give to the staff at breakfast. Why weren't they given to us at check in? And this really needs to be mentioned on the booking.com listing. Only 2 breakfasts per room. No microwave in room so couldn't even reheat our yummy leftovers from the night before. The restaurant on site for dinner was fantastic.

LikedWe were displaced from a canceled flight, and this was the first hotel that we found that had shuttle service from Orlando MCO. The evening shuttle driver Abram was beyond fantastic and so very kind, we have 4 small children and we had been traveling stuck in an airport for over 12 hours that day, and he was so helpful! The hotel was clean and they all had amazing and professional presentation.. Kay on the night shift 3/27 into 3/28 and Yasmine 3/28 during the dayshift were so kind, efficient, helpful and helped us! The food at the breakfast buffet was really very good and as a family of 6, displaced on a canceled flight without any help from the airlines, having the kids 11 and under eat free with an adult meal was so financially helpful!

LikedThe staff was extremely friendly and accommodating when our flight was cancelled with 7 children at 1:00 in the morning. Kay and Yasmine went above and beyond!
