DislikedWe paid high rates for a dog friendly hotel and this was disappointing-few places to go with pet, however we were allowed to keep dogs in room which was great. Bad maid services 2 days however as they need to be out of the room based on a determined time. On those 2 days, we requested three times to get service. Frustrating having to go back and forth with dogs expecting clean room. We come on vacation to enjoy ourselves… nothing enjoyable about chasing this down. We also had someone join us for a moon pass (overnight visitor); this does not start until 11 pm and lasts until 9 am. Initially told they would get one breakfast meal, but after we complained about how they were treated and that, 11 pm is way toooo late, we were told they should have been able to get a snack at night. It’s expensive…. A snack and breakfast is the least we should get considering a moon pass just adds an overnight guest on a room already paid for. Little value for the pass! This guest was not allowed to change in our room prior to 11 pm, asked if he could change in bathroom which he was allowed to. Great, right?! … no, a female worker walked into the bathroom to check if he was there when perceived to be taking too long (it wasn’t) even with us waiting there for him. So poorly handled-tacky and disrespectful. They wouldn’t take money for pass ahead of time to work around the fact he would be a paying guest (with plans to be out between his flight and 11 pm). This left a bad taste for us. There were some other minor bumps (dirty bathrooms by pool) and plenty of staff that were not friendly at Friendly. The handful of great staff however were superb: Double Double, Fredi, Saul, Daniel, Iram for an example. There were several others that I missed names of. If this place could work on being consistent (one morning you can get alcohol in your coffee, next you can’t get until 10 am.), it would help a lot. I don’t care what the alcohol rule is, I just want to know what my expectation should be.
