Corendon Amsterdam New-West, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

LikedThe spa was fantastic! Perfect facility!

LikedThe building is lovely, my room was spacious and clean. The location is great, even though it's not close to the city center it's 200m away from the metro. Breakfast was quite good. If I come back to Amsterdam I'll definitely come back to this hotel.

DislikedOnly "bad" things were: The dispensers for shampoo and soap were empty, we had to call reception for a refill. Anyhow it was quickly solved. Then we had to wait more than 30 minutes when checking out for someone to check our rooms so we could get our deposit back. Either way these are small issues that didn't affect our stay at all.

LikedThe room was cosy and clean. Free access to the fitness centre.

DislikedBreakfast wasn't free. The spa and pool isn't free as well. And the fitness centre is small with very few equipment.

LikedI was a guest at the hotel last May 2023 and I notice the breakfast was much better last year there was not many options this year if you compare to my last year.

Dislikedthe only thing I did not like was the breakfast.

DislikedThat is not a cheap hotel. However every extra step should be paid. breakfast is not included, wanna check in earlier? Pay! Terrible ventilation. They don't have normal windows, air-conditioning is everywhere, and air is super dry. It was a challenge to stay there for 3 days. Beds are super narrow. And sound isolation is zero. I heard how my neighbour was hitting the wall by his knees when trying to get himself comfy on a bed. Madrass is super soft. You are just drowning in your bed. It was a nightmare. My back is still screaming
