LikedSpacious room. Good location.
DislikedNo cleaning of the room until 16:30 when I came back after being out all day.

Dislikedthe attitude of the receptionist the elevator is scary and doesn't feel safe room design , shower box needs to be more private

LikedThe location and the vibe in the hotel is amazing. We loved the rooftop terras with sun beds and amazing view over the city. The water pressure in the shower is great. On Suday we had a fun evening at the sky bar with a drag show.
DislikedThe bed is old style en hard and you feel the steel frame and springs. They could fix that with a topper. The decor in the room is a bit dated and tired. The bar at the rooftop terras was only open from Friday to Sunday. From Monday on lot's of thirsty people sun bading but no bar open. Missed income for the hotel.

LikedThe Axel is well located,amidst a myriad of restaurants and services, with quick access to transport to all that Barcelona has to offer!
DislikedThe pool area was closed for renovation which we only learned about when we arrived. The pool was a deciding factor in choosing the hotel so it was a bit disappointing. Further, the layout of the room was complicated with nowhere really to sit, other than one chair, to rest or read after a day of exploring.
