First time as a solo traveller. I booked a single room which was very comfortably furnished though small - as expected! Wonderful hotel. Magnificent views over Florence from the roof top bar. Breakfast excellent and dining room looked out over the Arno. Superb location within a few minutes walk to Santa Croce and 8-10 minute from the centre. What can I say? Perfect.

A Pupa, cocoon of an insect was found, photographed and sent to the hotel directly. The hotel refused to return my money, telling me waking up with a Pupa is uncomfortable and since the Housekeeper visited the room hours later and saw no such insect in bed, I insinuate I not telling the truth. Despite the photos and identifying such - sharing with hotel. It is more than a discomfort to wake up to a Pupa larvae! It is so disgusting. I hope foe the opportunity to share the the photos sent to hotel, the manager considers acceptable cleainess.

LikedThe room was facing the river, had a beautiful view. The place has a nice feel. The hidden little room with a single bed was a surprise. The location is so close to the bridge, shopping, restuarants. The staff were friendly and helpful, they let us leave our luggage for a couple of days after we checked out as we had to go to Pisa and come back to Florence. The terrace had a view of whole city.

DislikedThe shower would spill water everywhere, it was annoying. They took a whole day to replace a kettle that did not work.
