Hotel Riviera

LikedLocation is 30 metres from the watertaxi terminal that takes you to/from Venice "proper" in about 15 minutes. Also a direct ferry from Marco Polo Airport takes about an hour but is very relaxing. Old-school hotel, the clean rooms have actual keys, and polite, friendly and formal staff at reception. Welcome drink of prosecco at the hotel American Bar. Buffet breakfast is very acceptable and plentiful. Staying on the Lido is a good option if you want to get away from the crowds. I would return.

DislikedThere was some noise outside at night but it didn't bother me too much, all part of the Italian life.

LikedOnly words of praise and recommendations for this hotel! The staff is very friendly always with a smile on their face. Room is very big and clean, bedsheets are clean and bed is comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, a lot of choices, everything was fresh. Definitely we would like to come here again!

LikedPerfect location looking onto lagoon and Venice main island. Glad we chose room with the view. Water bus station to airport, islands and Grand Canal close by. Hotel quiet and staff friendly, welcoming and helpful when needed. Spacious breakfast bar inside or on patio with good range of foods. A great base for visiting Venice without paying top prices on main island. Staying on the Lido is relaxing and well away from the crowds.

LikedIt was wonderful to have a room with a sea view from our window. The room was very warm and cozy, but there was some smell of vintage furniture, which is incomprehensible. In fact, it gave it a Venetian atmosphere. The welcome glass of Prosecco was a very unexpected but very pleasant surprise. Amazingly tasty and filling breakfast and most importantly extremely helpful and friendly hotel staff, which was just the icing on the cake. The Lido is a particularly quiet place, so it was perfect to relax after a day of hustle and bustle on the main island of Venice. Will we be back? Of course!
