LikedThe only good things about this over-priced hotel are the location, the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness.

DislikedAlthough most of the reception staff were professional and kind, there was one particular lady who worked at the reception in the morning of 5th and 6th of May (short dark hair and glasses), who constantly had a sour look on her face. When I asked for somebody to bring an iron to the room, she responded in a very abrupt way saying that after the last time the iron was used by me it is now broken (suggesting that I broke it) so there is no iron to bring up to the room. I told her that the iron that was brought to me previously was in fact not usable and another member of staff had brought me a new iron to replace that. She then brought the iron to the room with extremely sour look on her face. She also served us when we checked out and given that we paid over £1000 for our stay I would except the minimum of some kindness from the reception staff. Instead the same lady was puffing and making faces when the computer was not doing what she wanted it to do and was again very abrupt in the way she spoke to us. Also the fridge in the room was constantly making loud noises so my husband had to switch it off because it kept waking us up in the night.

LikedStaff were very friendly and helpful and couldn’t welcome us any more . We would like to thank Roxanne in particular for making our stay most memorable as the trip was for my partner’s 30th. She went above and beyond, and we were both made up with this.

LikedWe had a lovely stay here! For a city hotel, we had a decent size room which was very comfortable and clean. The staff were all lovely, especially Jonathan who was very helpful

DislikedThe only downside is the lift. It only caters for one person but for us this wasn’t a problem!
