The Hoxton, Rome

LikedThe staff.

DislikedRoom was too small. Zero space to move or unpack. No bedroom slippers. Felt congested.

LikedThe room was nice and the bed comfortable. I also liked the bathroom very much and the balcony was nice.

DislikedThe lobby is very caotic. There is a bar and a seating area which meets you first thing and the receptipn desk is out of the way and not immediately in sight. There are seating areas all over the ground floor and it looks more like a club than a hotel. The dining facility consists of long benches with small tables and one or two chairs facing. Not at all cozy and loud pop music playing most of the day and into the night over the whole ground floor. The food wasn’t anything special and very small selection for breakfast.

DislikedWould have liked to have a coffee machine (instead of instant coffee sachets) and toiletries in the bathrooms

LikedThe hotel was amazing, the bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The reception, bar and restaurant was very modern and comfortable. A great vibe in the evening. Reception staff were fantastic! Could not do enough for you and very friendly. Food was great!

DislikedThe restaurant staff were not very attentive and customers including ourselves had to ask to be served and even when it came to sorting the bill at the end, eventually we went to find a server to arrange the bill for us.

LikedHoxton has a great vibe. Staff are first class and everything is extremely clean.

DislikedLocation. A long walk from the main attractions of Rome, but it is where it is. I’d still book it again. Taxis are reasonable price.
