Grand Hotel Gianicolo

LikedLocation was great right next to 2 bus stops made it really easy to get into town. It was right next to some old fountains and statues which was really cool. The pool was an amazing area even though was too cold to get in. Breakfast was about as good as you’re going to get for a hotel stay. Really clean room and staff here all was good.

DislikedThey didn’t have their AC on so it was really hot for our liking. The front desk on days forgot to order our shuttle to airport but we still made it on time.

DislikedVery noisy! You can hear people's conversation on the phone in their room, the restaurant's menu is limited, the breakfast has many options but didn't live up to Italian quality of food, we thought. There is quite a walk from trastevere - going up and steep. We did like it, but if you are not into walking... Finally the beds were not very comfortable, the water ran out of the shower (we did mention it, but nothing was done).

LikedWonderful location. Lovely outside/pool spaces and friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable value for Rome.

DislikedNo sound proofing at all, the loud people next door, had to ask them to tone it down late at night. Then the cleaning staff were very noisy.The breakfast was mediocre and asked for items to be topped up.

DislikedIt was extremely noisy in the rooms and you could hear everything in the next rooms so was not relaxing to sleep and I would have expected much better due to the price! It is also not clear that this location very much at the top of a hill so is quite tiring to return to and up lots of stairs/long hills.
