Hotel Gamma

LikedEverything was excellent. The staff very friendly. We had initially a room at the first floor, above the flags from the entrance, but since it was a little too noisy we asked for another room and the person from the front office helped us. He also provided us useful information about the city. The room was very large and clean. They clean up the rooms every day. The breakfast was delicious. There were enough options for every taste.

LikedLocation is Ok, Lambrate Metro station is 2 mins walk away.

DislikedVery basic, budget, hotel. My room was on the 7th Floor and was exposed to the winds, the window insulation is very poor so I was woken up by the noise of wind the whole night. The fridge makes a loud noise every 30 minutes or so and was also waking me up. You can hear the sound of neighbouring rooms flushing their toilets, so indoor wall insulation is also quite poor. Overall, not a great sleeping environment, but this was during Salone Del Mobile and this was the only decently located hotel which was not extortionate. You get what you pay for.

DislikedThe washroom was too small. If I’m a girl and cannot fit the shower I don’t know how man can fit there , it’s not possible to wash at all in that shower. Furthermore, I couldn’t manage the water in the shower it was cold , after while of time too hot. Desing of the room and washroom is old, need more modern changes.

LikedThe hotel staff were helpful and recommended us some great spots to visit and guided us throughout the stay. The room was prepared for us an hour before the check in time according to our request and brewed some Italian coffee for us upon arrival. The room was cleaned daily and had change of towels according to use. Good breakfast, offering pastries, cereals, fruit, and warm items. The location was perfect. Next to the hotel there is a mini market, a gelateria, pizzerias and other restaurants. It was just one minute away from lambrate metro stop. 4 stops away from Centrale stop (10 mins away). 20 mins away from duomo stop!

DislikedThe shower cubicle was small and the there was only concealed rain shower. All it needs is an additional shower head with hose.
