Hotel Fenice Milano

LikedGreat location. Very peaceful.

LikedTwo things stand out about this hotel - first the staff. Every team member was relentlessly courteous, helpful, polite and kind. The second is the location: the hotel is literally right on the steps of the metro (which is really cheap and easy to navigate the city) so if you are looking for a city break and if you are a very small person this hotel is the perfect place for you! The room was clean and there was a mini fridge and a safe.

DislikedYou have to be very careful when booking this hotel that if you book for one person then you will get a 1 person room - and I mean 1 person - really the room was not big enough to swing a cat in. It was a TINY single bed with your head rammed against the door and the door is not very soundproof so you can hear all the people walking up and down the corridor. When you book make sure that you have the size of room you need. I dont think the site was very good at visually representing just how small the rooms (and beds were). If you are over 172 (5'8") you will struggle in the beds as the foot is fixed to the side of the wardrobe and then the head fixed to the wall by the door - on the other side is the wall so there is very little wriggle room. The other frustration was the distinct lack of power sockets (just one by the bed and one in the bathroom).
