DislikedA hotel that was very old with poor facilities. Room lighting was poor. The breakfast was very poor. I picked a hotel that was too far from the centre, my own fault.

LikedThe location is great and the lady at reception was nice. That’s about it.

DislikedRooms were not comfortable, cleanliness is not up to my standard and the breakfast is tragic. I’m vegetarian and asked reception if it would be possible to serve some veggie or cheese the next day (nothing fancy) as the only vegetarian options were dry sugary pies and packaged low quality croissants. He said no, even though there was salami and ham for meat eaters, so they have a fridge for sure and there was a vegetable stand at the end of the street (2 min walking distance). The hotel is full of potential and all in all it was a huge miss and even bigger disappointment.

LikedWe chose the Classic Hotel because it was very close to our destination. We were just steps away from the Boboli Gardens, and a 20-minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, and the Uffizi Gallery. The setting is delightful, on Viale dei Colli, and the building is a late 19th-century mansion, near Porta Romana, surrounded by greenery, in a peaceful and quiet setting. The concierges were very helpful and kind.

DislikedThe hotel is in need of a major renovation. Our room was quite old-fashioned, and the bathroom was decidedly outdated. There was no small toiletries set, and there was only one power outlet available, on one side of the bed. The breakfast was poor.
