Hotel Barberini

LikedHotel was closed

DislikedWe booked a suite at this hotel and we’re really looking forward to stay at this highly rated hotel. We arrived to the hotel and found a sign at the entrance that the hotel is closed. We were let in by one of the employees, and a few minutes later a manager came to us and notified us that they had to close the hotel a few ago due to a chemical leak. The hotel didn’t bother notifying us or booking about this and hence not allowing us the chance to book another hotel for our stay. As an alternative they placed us in another sub-par hotel nearby with no amenities and in a tiny room. While I understand that things happen, the fact that we were not notified ahed of arrival was extremely unprofessional. And instead of getting an upgraded room in another hotel we were offered a Jr suite in a hotel near termini (none safe area) or the tiny room that we eventually settled on.

LikedWe were replaced to a different hotel called Trevi Collection without any prior information. The hotel had very poor facilities compared to Barberini hotel and therefore we were very disappointed.

DislikedBeing displaced to a hotel with lower standard.

LikedLoved the 6th floor bar/restaurant and the views!

DislikedNo washcloths! Shower was difficult.

LikedGood location, friendly and helpful staff

DislikedChlorine gas spill that caused evacuation of the hotel, requiring hospitalization of some residents. Closure of hotel and movement to another hotel into smaller room. However,Staff and firefighters did an excellent job.

LikedEverything was great with the room and the staff downstairs. Especially the young guy at the front he was super sweet.

DislikedThe only thing I didn’t like is the guy workers at the restaurant. They were very rude and had so much attitude. I didn’t eat there much because of that.
