Hotel Adler Cavalieri

LikedThe staff was very good. The room clean and nicely appointed. There are two sitting areas on the main lobby level with one removed from the main lobby area so it's quieter. There is a terrace area with a bar just up from the first floor of rooms... another nice little place to sit and enjoy a sparkling water or coffee. The breakfast area and buffet is nice. Breakfast was well done for the most part with a lot of variety to choose from. If you request a cappuccino, it's made and served to you. Beds were comfortable.

DislikedWe did not like the heating/air conditioning system. The hotel had not switched over their system to A/C at the time of our May 7-9 stay. So, our first floor room was too warm. Can't imagine what the upper floors would have been like. We did not open the window much because of traffic noise. Our room was on the side bordering the street. When we did open the window from late afternoon into the evening, then closed the window to go to sleep, we were awakened by a couple of mosquitos buzzing around and had to kill them. We brought the room temperature concern to the front desk on the first day. Their response was to open the window. We said that would not work because of traffic noise. The front desk did not move us to a new room and we did not press the issue. We should have pressed the issue to be moved to a room away from traffic noise. The hotel has installed an energy saving system that works off your room card key. That said, the hotel did air condition the hallways. So, why they did not switch over their room heating/air conditioning system so guests could be comfortable, I don't understand. Room A/C would not have been on without the room card key, so it really is perplexing. The pillows in this hotel were just okay. They could have been better and more comfortable. Too flat and too hard.

LikedThe staff were friendly and the room was clean. Close to the station.

DislikedNo aircon it was 25 degrees. Breakfast was the same every day and not great. We were given a very noisy room so opening the windows meant we had bad nights sleeps. There is no mini bar in the room but a mini fridge with water but no glases to drink from. They compensated us financially but would rather have moved rooms. You need to put in your details that air con is seasonal so not available in May. Would not rate it 4*

LikedFriendly, helpful staff, good size clean room. Great location.

DislikedOur bathroom shower is showing signs of age and could do with a bit of tlc.
