Hotel Accademia

LikedBest thing about the hotel was the location! 2minutes to get anywhere important. Terraces were nice. Public spaces seem nicer than the rooms. Staff were generally helpful and let us check out an hour later.

DislikedThe rooms were so cold, set up for summer with no heating and only think sheets on the bed when the temperature was between 4-10 degrees outside. Even with the air conditioning on warm, the rooms only warmed up a little. Also the hot water was only just warm at 11am so wasn’t a pleasant shower. Breakfast room was very dated and not very relaxing. It was so quiet and mainly had lots of staff running around rather than guests. You had to be served your hot food, that was placed behind plastic covers. Am sure hygienic but felt very dated, like being back at school.

LikedThe hotel was in an ideal location right in the centre of the old district and extremely good value. I had a single room but unlike some hotels it was a big room with plenty of space and a large single bed. Shower was over the bath so that might be difficult for some. Beautifully decorated throughout. Welcome drink and nibbles available every afternoon. I only had breakfast in the hotel on one day and it was extremely good with so much to choose from. I would definitely stay again.
