DislikedThe attitude of some of the staff. I was told off at breakfast as if I was a school pupil being reprimanded by the headmaster and in front of the guests having breakfast. Before I was even greeted facially this member of staff looked at my feet and said I could not come in to breakfast because I was wearing the wrong shoes. My shoes were open sandles. The lady in the queue in front of me had similar shoes but with a heel. I pointed this out but he said those shoes are ok, not the one I was wearing. . I was absolutely shocked at this and the way I was reprimanded and spoken to. NO WHERE in the hotel did I see any signs saying guests will be BANNED from having breakfast in the breakfast room for the kind of shoes they are wearing. I may have missed this when booking this hotel but I did not see anywhere in the sales pitch that certain shoes are banned. I changed my shoes, went back to breakfast and studied what kind of shoes other female guests were wearing. Two or three ladies were wearing similar to mine and today at breakfast I noticed a guest wearing exactly the same shoes as I was yesterday when I was told I could not enter wearing my shoes. I am a nearly 70 year old lady, my husband 75 years old. We have stayed in many hotels all over the world and all kinds of hotels and B&Bs etc. We have stayed at the Ritz, Paris and London, The Cococabana, Rio, Hotels Hermitage and Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the Caruso in Ravello in Italy to name a few as well as small pensions, boarding houses, youth hostels and camp sites. In all my years of travelling I have never experienced what I experienced at this hotel from thebreakfast manager. I have never been questioned about my clothing attire, shoes and general appearance and manner in any establishment.
