LikedA grand hotel in an absolutely beautiful part of Naples… the Santa Lucia area, which is on the Bay of Naples. From our hotel window, we could see Vesuvius, the island of Capri, as well as the beautiful coastline of Naples. Vincenzo and the rest of the staff were so friendly, professional, and helpful. Many excellent restaurants are all along the bay with stunning views. You’re not far from the historical center of Naples. By taxi, within 10-15 minutes.

DislikedThey gave us a room with view over the air shaft, they did not provide conditioner and body lotion or a robe. For 300 euros a night I expected at least those amenities. Also there was renovation on the street right in front of the hotel and the view and acccess were seriously impeded. I know it was not their fault but they could have made a gesture to at least compensate for this. We picked the hotel partially based on this.

We loved this hotel! It is directly across from the marina and promenade which was convenient for morning strolls and access to a number of excellent seafood restaurants. Around the corner, we found several cute restaurants and bars. The hotel is also a short walk from other monuments and Toledo street, a major main shopping district in Naples. We walked from the hotel to catch our ferry to Sorrento - only a 15-20 seaside walk. You cannot beat the location! The room was comfortable and clean, but we did find that the walls were like paper - you could hear every word spoken by guests in the next door rooms. This was the only thing we did not enjoy about the hotel. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was superb - consisting of a full assortment of pastries, cakes, breads in addition to all the standard breakfast items. We highly recommend Grand Hotel Santa Lucia for your stay in Naples!
