Room very old and run down

The room was very run down and old. worst room I have ever stayed in. The toilet seat was the oldest I have ever see in a hotel room. None of us had a shower and waited to do so when we got home the next day. Thank god we were only there for a night. On check out usually you are asked how was your stay. This was not asked. I actually said to the lady, do you accept feedback. I told her the above and more and she apologised saying the hotel was under renovation and our floor (6th and below) hadn’t been done yet. This should have been advised at check in and I would have been happy to pay extra for a decent room. To add insult there was a 1.3% surcharge to use a credit card to pay for the room.

    Good Place

Tremendous staff ensure a great guest experience consistently over the years we've been staying here. Great location for chilling out, will be even better with planned upgrade. The buffet breakfast is very good with freshly cooked eggs and omelets available. The great thing of course is the location with the beach just metres away, great for walking. And plenty of other good quality restaurants close by. The rooms in the hotel are getting tired, a very 1990's look. But the rooms are large with a sitting room as well as a bedroom, beds are comfortable and we had a great view out over the bay.
